Pad Printing – Precision Printing for Even the Smallest Details
Pad printing is a specialised technology designed primarily for printing on three-dimensional and geometrically complex objects. It uses a silicone pad that transfers ink from the cliché onto various materials such as plastic, metal, glass, ceramics, wood, or paper. Thanks to this method, we can apply graphics with exceptional precision even on curved or irregular surfaces — such as pens, lighters, USB drives, mugs, or promotional sets.
Pad printing is the ideal choice for producing promotional items where fine graphics, clean contours, and high durability are required. For larger and flat surfaces (e.g. textiles or bags), screen printing may be a better option as it allows multi-colour printing simultaneously. In contrast, pad printing excels at reproducing even the smallest logos on small objects with great accuracy.
For printing colourful designs on dark surfaces or more complex branding, we recommend considering digital UV printing, which offers excellent sharpness and full-colour reproduction without the need for clichés. If you want to combine pad printing with an elegant surface finish, embossing or blind embossing is also an option — for example, for gift boxes or diaries.
At Anatex, we’ll advise you on when pad printing is the most effective choice and suggest a combination of technologies to ensure your promotional items look professional and leave a lasting impression.
